Does it go over the overheating stage when in idle or just run warmer?

Have you replaced the water pump? I just channged mine out and found that the impeller looked like a flat washer. It's made of cad plated steel so it rusts out fairly easy if you don't keep up on the proper lubricant. Because the radiator is hiding somewhere and all you have is the cap on the fill resevoir, you can't usually see the water movement by the water pump. I installed a 'radiator flush kit' on the horizontal hose back by the firewall, and now I can remove that cap and see at a glance if my water pump is actually pumping water.

Because I was (still am), having overheating problems, I got into the habit of just dumping water in it, so no doubt that aided in the corrosion.

Now then, can you tell me how hard it was to change out your radiator? I can't even see the darn thing and fear it will be $500 or more to have it changed out somewhere. Thanks. K
