1993 Mercury Marquis running problems

The car starts runs for about 1 minute or less and dies. 2 days ago I was driving the car and I hit the gas and the car just dies while I was driving. So I was wondering if it could be the fuel pump went out in the vehicle

Hi:
It sounds like the pump. You need to check fuel pump pressure to make sure. check out this video for directions, and many parts stores will lend or rent the tool.
