Car wont start

1986 mercury cougar v-6 3.8 liter. Car died while driving and wont start again, it turns over and has spark going to the plugs and also has plenty of fuel. I pulled the rocker cover and the valves go up and down. But i'm not getting any ignition. Could it be my timing? Or what else? I'm lost. HELP

I have a mercury I change a sensor and after that the car didn't start just the dashboard ligths so I chahnge the battery.

Does it crank? You have any ligths on the dashboard? If you do but doesn't crank change the battery and see what happend.

Hi I have been working on this problem for over a month and I am just stumped. I parked the car one night and the next morning I went to go out and it would turn over but wouldnt start. We replaced the rotor and cap and the ignition module and plugs. Wires were good. Seems i'm not getting spark. Coil was also good till we changed the ignition module. I realy need my car does any one have any suggestions I would highly appreciate them. Thanks :cry:
