help. White smoke coming out from pasenger side under hood. Car gage did not show overheating.I opened hood to find what appears to be oil? Splattered all over engine and sitting in frame dripping from below from excess. Was down 4 qts 2 weeks ago. Friend added. Down 1 qt now. Oil? Old oil stains on drive? I think.

Hello -

To better assist you what is your engine size in liter?

You need to get a good visual on where the oil is coming from. That may mean starting the car and while it is running looking around to see if you see oil leaking or spraying out.

You may need to wash the engine down really good. Check the oil dip stick and see if it is milky in color. Check your engine coolant and see if it looks like it has oil in it.
