Mega fuse?

I see Ryan put a mega fuse in his 55 LS swap. I like the idea, cheap addition to save investment. My question is, how did he size the fuse? Meaning how did he choose what amp fuse to use. Thank you in advance.

That was my thinking too. That fuse came with the Painless wiring kit. My thinking was they probably have a good idea on how many amps is right. Also, 175A is way more than basically any car will ever use under normal circumstances. But will pop is there is a large short to ground.
