My 85 rx7 carbureted, 1.1 liter, manual choke, is really hard to start when cold. Have to pump gas pedal a lot and start maybe 10 times before it will keep running. Once it starts and warms up, runs great. Don't think manual choke is working. Does this thing have some sort of internal choke or sensor? Thanks.

85rx7. Should have a 1.2l 12a in it. I would suggest rebuilding the carburetor if you havent had that done recently. Check the choke while you got the carb off. Pumping the gas a lot is normal with carburated engines.

Actually the 12a engine is a 1.1L engine.
