1998 Mazda Protege

I have a 98 Mazda Protege with a 1.5 L engine. When I come to a stop (stop sign or light for example) the engine almost dies, but will regain its idle speed. If the A/C is on it will die. Any suggestions

Hi
Maybe problem with Idle Air Control Valve located on throttle body on top engine. This conrols idle via input from computer. Sometime removing and decarboning works.
