On the cam for the exhaust side the first lobe should point to the exhaust manifold. The intake cam first lobe should point to the intake manifold. This should almost align two little marks on the spockets. Then it is in time. Let me if any more questions.

The I on the intake cam should line up with the E on the exhaust cam in the middle. They are a pain to hold still while you line up the cams and the crank sproket. I have a tool that fits in the sprokets to hold the cams still while lining up the crank.
