Low beams not working?

We noticed the low beams stopped working, so we went to replace the bulbs as the turn signals/running lights and high beams worked. High beams only work when the switch is held on. The low beams still didn't work. We noticed when we accidentally dropped the wiring and new bulb when it touched metal it sparked and came on but when we put it back in the housing they didn't work anymore.

It sounds like the headlight/multi-function switch could be bad, but we should start by checking the fuses (LH HDLP, RH HDLP and HTR A/C IG) in the under-hood fuse panel. here is a guide to help and fuse location in the diagrams below, I have also included the wiring diagrams for the headlights so you can see how the system works.

Here is how you can change out the headlight switch if that is the problem after testing. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.
