Hello CARADIODOC,

I think I had previously mentioned that I purchased a relay tester and two new relays. The relay tester was used on the old relay and the new relays for functionality. They all gave the same response that they were good. I think I also mentioned earlier the name of the relay so maybe you could look it up.

What you mentioned in your post above was done with instructions by Boris, Randy, Kenny and your other coworker. The only thing I haven't done yet is to jump the terminals. I will get a wire with alligator clips and insert them into terminals 30 and 87, turn the car key to the on position and turn the light on and see what happens.

Have you checked out the high and low switch on the steering column, see if there are any loose or pinched wires by the wiring connection?
Let us know,
Mike

I believe the switch is fine because I swapped the low beam wire for the high beam wire and the lights worked. Oh, just realized that the low beam light worked because I had to turn the lights on the high beam setting. But everything on that switch works. If it was a bad switch, then it will affect some other component. I also checked the low beam wire at the light with a voltmeter and it did not work. I think Boris also mentioned that earlier. I have purchased a non-expensive automotive short and open circuit finder. I was going to see if that would help me. Perhaps you could provide some information as to how to use it. I read the instructions and I can follow them. Knowing me, I would probably screw it up and break something else. I also checked the low beam wire at the light with a voltmeter and it did not work. Do you need the key in the on position to check the low beam wire?

Hello, I am new to this post. There are three relays 1 for fog, 1 for low beam and one for high beam. Each one has to be active in order to work. Have you checked the fuses under the dash and the wires? You might have a fuse for the low beams that is blown. The relays are energized through the junction box below the left side of dash.

Hello,

I have a 2003 Jeep Liberty and the sentry key light is on and it will not start the car. When I turn the key to the on position the gauges do not move. Also, I noticed the horn doesn't work as well. Please help me to get this started so I can move the car from the Safeway parking lot to my driveway.

Thank you,
dg

Hi,

I would be happy to help. However, I need to ask a favor. I need you to start a new thread on a different topic. We try to keep them specific to one topic, so it is more helpful to others. I hope you understand.

Also, until we start the new thread, if you have a different key, try that. Also, let me know if anything electrical is functional in the new post.

Here is the link to start a new post:

Again, I hope you understand. I will watch for your new post.

Take care,

Joe
