To by pass just get a piece of pipe that fits on hoses and clamp it on both ends with hoses. To replace the heater core the dash has to come out.

I would like a step by step process on how to replace the heater core on a 1998 Lincoln Town Car. It would also be helpful if possible, to have diagrams as well.

Thanks in advance.

They are there unless there is an x in a box. Click on them and try to enlarge them so you can read it easier. I can't do much on this end with that.

This is an 8.2 hour job for a shop to do so it is no easy task. There are way to many things to try to tell you to do that have to be done right so that you don't deploy the air bags and so on. So I either recomend that you go to your local parts store and buy a repair manual like haynes or chilton so you have all the steps as you need to remove the entire dash board to get to it or find a trusted shop and let them do it. I am sorry I can't give much more but like I said it is just so much to try to tell on how to replace it, that it would take hours just to write it out. Once you have a book if you get stuck in area's then get back to me and I will try to walk you through it.
