I hired a mechanic to repair the passenger side front window. He attempted to repair it and it worked 2 weeks and quit again. He refused to work on it again and now I can't find anyone to work on it. I have been told that all ford and lincolns share this problem. I need a detailed diagram of the window operation before I try to fix it myself.

If you mean that the switch is not functioning - most likely
the switch is cracked. If you take a flat screwdriver &
gently lift under the front end of the plastic (chromed) switch holder the switch tray will lift up granting you access. Unfortunately this tray was very poorly crafted
as your mechanic most likely found out. I personally
picked up a replacement switch from a junkyard and
then became creative in using pull ties & drilled holes
in order to re secure switches - as the screw holders were
cracked. If your problem is actually the window motor
go to www. Lincolnsonline. Com and go to the technical section and you might be surprised as to the info avail
good luck
