1993 Lincoln Town Car FOUL SMELL AND WINDOWS FOGGING UP

Hi!

There is a horrible foul odor (like dead fish) smell coming from my car and there is smoke coming from the dash vents. The windows fog up terriblly and I have to have a paper towel with me to be able to see to drive, especially in rainy weather.

Am I looking at a very expensive repair?

Suspect faulty heater core. If you do not use the heater then you can bypass the heater core which will fix the symptoms you are experiencing, but this will disable heating. Otherwise replacement of heater core is only alternative and it is an estimated $600 to repair on most vehicles because the dash has to be removed.
