I just replaced a water pump and now I am having a leak that I can smell but can't see where it is coming from has not ran hot yet. Don't know if it is timing chain cover or freeze plugs or what. What should I check first? Somebody told me Dodge's are bad about the timing cover leaking after changing water pumps.

I think that is a bit of a forum issue as they are not that common to leak. I would just pressure test the system and find out where the leak is coming from and that will tell us how bad it is.

If you are smelling it, this may be a heater core. However, let's start with the pressure test and go from there. Thanks
