Car hesitates sometimes when stepping on the gas. Stalled out a few times. Thought it was the fuel filter. Is there an easy way to replace one? What else can be causing this problem? Thank you for the help, Mike.

Sounds more like your fuel pump not giving enough pressure. There is no easy way to replace the filter. You have to remove the fuel tank to gain access for the filter. If the fuel pump has not been replaced, now is a good chance to replace it.

I would agree that this sounds like a fuel issue so I would start by checking fuel pressure and see what it does. These vehicles were known for having fuel pump control relay issues so if the fuel pressure is jumping around or dropping then we can explore this further.

Here is a guide that will help with this. Thanks.
