2008 Other Jeep Models Bad Smell

This week the air coming out when I turned on the heater started smelling like vinegar. Its not the first time I've used the heater recently but it just started. I took it to the dealership and they just sprayed some sort of air freshener in the vintilation system. Any ideas on what could be causing the vinegar smell? Thank you.
