I have an obvious wheel bearing problem on my 1999 jeep cherokee. Its the front pass. Side bearing. I don't feel comfortable doing that job myself. Its a little out of my range. But I have no idea what to expect to pay to have it done at a repair shop. Anybody out there had to make that payment. Please give me a hint on what it might cost.

Well the OEM part itslef is about a 400 dollar part. But for a 1999 I dont see anything wrong with putting an aftermarket wheel baring in and the aftermarket part is about 200. I have a 1999 and put in an aftermarket and its just as good, but including labor rated at a standard of 89.00 something an hour and its about a 3-4 hour job so thats about 500.00 bucks. But be careful as sometimes when we do repairs on a wheel baring that sometimes the rotar becomes warped and that needs to be replaced as well.
