I just bought a 2002, 6 cylinder Jeep Grand Cherokee. We have had no problems for 3 weeks. This morning when I started the thing it would run for a few seconds and quit. It does not sputter or anything, it just dies.
Would this be a fuel filter?
40,000 miles on the vehicle.

I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee and had what sounds like the same issue a few months ago (would start, run for a few seconds then die & not start for a while then when it would start it would run for a few seconds again and die). For mine it was a crank sensor. Hope this helps!
