1998 Jeep Cherokee Jerking while on gas

Transmission problem
1998 Jeep Cherokee 6 cyl Automatic 13,800 miles

There has been a on and off jerking of the jeep since I acquired it. It only occurs once or not at all when im driving. Whether it be as soon as I crank it up or when im 15 mintues down the road and only does it when im on the gas.

Hi there,

Check the simple things first, Fuel contamination, fuel filter plugs, leads and coil. If you can get a run on an oscilloscope, that will help diagnose any ignition fault.
