1994 Jeep Cherokee over heating

It keeps shuting off when I go about three blocks but I did not know for sure if it was overheating because the gauge went out but I replaced the sensor, water pump, thermastat, and plugs and it is still over heating and now there is gray smoke coming out of it when I let it run

If you are seeing grayish / white smoke, that indicates that coolant is getting into the combustion chamber. It would be my guess that you have a bad head gasket and coolant is getting in that way. You could do a compression test to see if there is a low cylender to check. If you need directions, let me know.

Here is a how to for checking compression. A compression gauge is needed. Many parts stores will lend or rent the tool.
