I had the transmission rebuilt then noticed a restart problems when engine is hot. This was a everday problem. Back to shop and tech's had no luck. Got them to replace starter. Problem went away few weeks, twice in two months. Each time I would open hood and wait 10 or minutes and restart right up. Recently problem occurs after a long run 20 to 30. Minutes on every restart. Gave to machanic and he thought maybe throttle body at first. He got jag software but still could not pinpoint. Said could be relay on sensor? I swap out ignition relay with horn, didn't fix. So back to square one. Won't restart when hot until I give it time to cool down. Jag bullitin # 30339 might be related. Any help appriciated. Walt van court

Yes it turns over then goes into fail safe mode. Then I wait for it to cool off then stars right up. In 50 times this happen once it started and. I drove to a shop and the rpm's were all screwed up jumping around. Put in park and then it killed. Machanic said it stared the next day and everything looked normal. Walt

Sounds more like a cam or crank sensor may be shorting out when hot if the tach was jumping around. That Jag bulletin is for a fuel pressure issue which wont cause the tach to jump, just prolonged cranking due to over-rich condition. Sometimes when they do stuff like this, it becomes a trial and error situation. Did the techs let it get hot so they could recreate the situation? It sounds like it does it pretty consistently, they should be able to get it hot enough to not start so they can watch on the scanner to see what isnt working.
