Alarm goes off, horn blows, lights blink while driving car, I do not have a key fob, bought one from jag dealer and he said he could not get it to talk to the BCM or ECM, and I needed a new one ($900+) way too many gremlins for a used Jag. Sometimes the "passenger door open light stays on" sometimes it does not. Occassionally the car will go into security mode where the car will not start and the alarm is armed, the only way to start is to disconnect battery and reconnect.
HELP!

Well it sound like a bad Body control module. Can you replace this yourself? If you can then I would go to a salvage yard and buy it so you can save some cash. As for the fob is programmed through the drivers door module but it takes special tools that the dealer only haves to do this. Has this module been checked?

Thanks for the input, I did purchase a new fob from the dealer, but the dealer said it would not talk or communicate with the BCM so I had them give me a refund on the fob.
Also the "Valet Mode" on the dashboard will not go away, is this also a BCM problem

Yea it can be the BCM can cause some strange problems with alarms the fobs or the interior lighting and such when it goes bad. If you decide to replace it your self then let me know and I will send you a diagram of where it is at. Thanks and have a great evening.
