Electrical problem
2000 Jaguar XJ8 V8 Front Wheel Drive 135, 00 miles

My car wont start when I am out. After letting it set for 30-60 min. It will eventually start. I have tried disconnecting battery cable and does not work. Have had it in the shop several times but it starts when in shop. If I have it towed, by the time it gets to shop it starts. My locks on my car do not work. Someone told me it may be my security system. How do I turn this off or what else could it be? Thanks

Can the engine crank?

Is the injectors leaking?

How about the high speed low speed and idle performance

Do you have a car scan tool? Do you find DTC?

Is the anti-theft warning indicator blinking? If so, your car is in security condition, you have a serious fault, may be you have to go to the shop.

Can you switch ignition on? If so, I advise you check the crank electrical circuit.
