1999 Isuzu Rodeo Question pROBLEMS Starting vehicle

My daughter's 2001 Isuzu rodeo had the same problem, I thought it was the starter so I took it off and had it checked, but it was fine, I noticed the copper post where the power wire connects was loose, I tightened the post and secured the lock nut, reinstalled the starter and she has had no problems since. This was about 4 months ago. Before, it was starting sometimes, and sometimes you could remove the key and re insert it and it would start, or wiggle the gear shift then it would start so I thought it was some electrical problem, but this is what fixed her car and it probably has 1200 perfect starts on it after tightening the post on the starter.
