1999 Isuzu Rodeo Question Gears

When I drive my Rodeo, whether I drive 1 mile or 10 miles at times, my car will not restart after I have parked it and turned off the engine. When I get back in the car it will not turn over. I then take it out of gear and then put it back in park then it will start. Sometimes I have to do this 2-3 time before it will start.

Hi double,

Thank you for the donation.

Seems you have a fault with the Neutral start switch and it has to be replaced. The switch is known to cause this problem and when it happens, the dash indicator lights for the gear position would at times work erratically.

The part should cost about $120 with labor estimated at $100. I am sorry I don't have any contacts to recommend. I would try to check with other technicians to see if they can help on this.
