I have the vehicle listed above CLX model with Rocam engine. I have been having issues with starting for a while now. When I turn the key all the lights etc, comes on but it won't start. Everything else is working though. Initially it was just like the fuel wasn't coming through and I had to pump the petrol pedal to get it to start, but now it has gotten to the point where it will start but then once you get to your destination it will not start again. If you leave it for a few hours or so it will start again. I am really at my wits end as we are trying to sort it out between myself and my brother but right now we are looking at the starter as the possible culprit. Should we perhaps also look at something else? I will appreciate any advice.

Let's start with covering some of the basics. Here is a video that will help with this. Also, I understand the issue is the engine will crank but it will not start?

If that is the case, the we need to check fuel, spark, and compression. The fact that the engine does start and run but not restart we can assume compression is not the issue. That leaves fuel and spark.

When the engine does not restart can you put some starter fluid in the intake and see if it starts? If it does then we have a fuel issue.

At that point we need to check the fuel pressure. Here is a guide that will help with that:

Let's start with this and go from there.
