When I start it up I instantly here a whining noise coming from the front end of the car. When I put it in drive, it will move but when I come to a complete stop it will not take off. I cut it off, wait thirty seconds, I will cut it back on and it will take off. No check engine light is on the dash. Someone please help me. What could it be?

Try cleaning throttle plate on both sides and IAC hole with choke cleaner if it continues. check fuel pressure with a gauge auto parts rent it.

Whine and lack of motion in drive when hot both sound like the pump in the transmission is starting to fail or is very low on fluid. Check the transmission fluid with the engine warm and the transmission in park. The fluid should be a nice red color and smell like clean oil and be in the full area on the stick. If it is gritty, dark/brown/black and smells like it is burnt it is not good. You might be able to change the fluid and improve the problem, but I would not count on it.
