I have 1988 Chevy Silverado and the passenger side door glass has been broken. I was wondering if I couldn't find the same year and model at a junkyard would other years and models be compatible replacements?

1988 was the debut of the new body style, you need to check the data plate for the actual build date. If the truck was built AFTER 10/1987 then the door glass from 1988-1999 will all fit. If the truck was built BEFORE 09/1987 then it uses the same glass from 83 to 87.

To be sure take your VIN number with you to verify the part.
