Idle is too high?

Start truck warm up, drive and Idle does not come down, runs great it just Idles too high.

Hi,

The first thing I would recommend is to clean the throttle body bore. There could be dirt or corrosion preventing the throttle plate from fully closing.

Also, there is an idle air control valve (IAC) mounted on the throttle body. Its function is to control the idle speed. The pintel on the IAC may not be working properly and allowing too much air to enter the engine. I attached a pic below of its location.

You also should remove the IAC and inspect/service it.
