I was pulling out of a spot and forgot I had my E brake on, I rolled about three feet back, no gas, and heard the brake and immediately turned it off. I have incredibly intrusive OCD and I can't stop wondering did I ruin my Grandpa's car in those 3 feet? He passed away a few months ago, and I am baby-ing his car. It was literally a second, I just over think and get anxiety about all my mistakes. Could anybody help with a little more knowledge?

Thank you

Hi.

In short, no you did not ruin the brakes. Just set them again and see if they hold. However, you are not going to do damage by just moving this amount. I would be more concerned that if it were set and the vehicle moved with no accelerator input. They are probably not adjusted properly or you did not have them fully engaged.

When they are engaged and properly adjusted they should hold the weight of the vehicle in place.

Please let me know if you have more questions but maybe get them adjusted the next time you have it in for service if they don't hold the vehicle in place.
