HYUNDAI ELAUNTRA 1997 125000 miles 4 cylinder. The refrigerant is full no leaks or oil seen. The system does"t stay as cool as it used to, When idealing to long the guage rises almost to over heating, it goes down with normal driving. Please help. Also does this car have a AC filter behind the glove box? Also I did add antifreeze to the max line.

Your car should have 2 fans, 1 for a/c and 1 for the engine. In the underhood fuse panel, check the 30amp fusible link for radiator fan, if ok, then need to remove the relay and install a jumper wire from -Blue1 to Blue/Black2 , the fan should come on. If not verify power and good ground to the motor, if has those two things the fan motor is bad. If fan comes on with jumper, it could either be the coolant temp sensor out of range or the PCM isnt turning the fan on and might need to be replaced
