So I just got this vehicle, I have been driving it for about a month or so. So what I have been doing is starting it and letting it warm up so that my oil does not sit and go bad. One day I turned it on then the next more I turn it on once just fine and when I went to turn it on later that day I put in the key and I turned it then all it did was a humming noise that was it. All the lights on the dash were on and I turned off everything else but nothing no start what so ever.

It sounds like you have either a starter that is out or the security system has kicked in.

Lets test for power at the starter trigger wire to see if it is getting power also is the security light flashing?

Here is a guide to show you how to test the starter look toward the bottom.

That will be the problem. Can you try to lock and then unlock the door to reset the system? The engine will not start with the security light flashing.

This guide can help
