Starting at 20 mph a low pitched hum starts and as I accelerate the pitch goes up a bit and hum continues while I drive. I cannot tell if there is a specific side where hum is louder, i.E, front, back, driver's side or passenger side.

Hello, Welcome to 2CarPros. A hum like that is usually a wheel hub/bearing assembly. A trick to use to see if you can identify which side it is, go down an open road, get to a speed where it is audible and steer back and forth so the car swerves. That will transfer weight back and forth and you will usually hear the noise get louder in one direction over the other.
This will also confirm if it's a bearing or not. Next get up above the speed where you hear it starting. Shift the car into neutral and let off the gas. If the noise doesn't change except slow down as the car slows then it is 99% a bearing. If for some reason the noise does go away or stops when you shift into neutral, it isn't a bearing and instead is something in the transmission. The wheel hub isn't that hard to change if you have the proper tools. The hardest part in the front is getting the lower ball joint out so you can get the axle out to clear room for the tools. In the rear it's a bit easier.

For an idea of the process take a look at these. The hub being replaced is like the ones on the rear of your car. The front ones are very similar, you just need to remove the axle from the middle first.
