The car has not been driven in about eight or nine years. The car was running perfectly when I quit using it. I wanted to keep the car until I retired so I could tow behind an RV. I started the car on a regular basis for four or five years and then it tailed off. What do I need to do with the fuel lines and gas tank, if anything? I have not tried to start the engine.

Good morning.

You will need to drain the tank of all fuel. I would have the tank flushed out of all debris as well. Replace the fuel pump while you are there.

I would replace the fuel filter and flush out the lines as well.

As far as the old fuel, put it in containers and take them to a service station and have them dispose of the fuel.
