Im replacing my ac compressor, dryer, and expansion valve. I have new rings to seal but I'm not replacing the lines. How should I clean the connecting parts by the rings before reinstalling? Wipe with alcohol then apply thin layer of pag oil? Thanks

Wipe them down with alcohol or similar, inspect for any damage or corrosion and install the new o-rings. Then apply just a quick wipe of the proper oil and tighten them down.

Clorinated brake cleaner is what was suggested by someone but thought alcohol would work. I don't need to scrub just make sure is clean surface. Thanks again.

Don't use brake cleaner, the fittings can corrode from the contents. Alcohol will remove any crud without damaging anything. No scrub needed.
