I'd use a gage and check fuel pressure before you go after the fuel pump. My info says 48 psi. The fuel filter is a tune-up part, should be located along the chassis underneath. You may have to safely raise and support the vehicle to get at the filter.

My info says you have to drop the gas tank to get at the fuel pump.
