Just finished installing a new aftermarket radio in my car and now my car is not starting. I used the wire harness adapter for my car and disconnected the negative battery terminal. Also, as a side note the radio is not picking up any signal.

Try re-installing the OEM unit. Many newer vehicles store anti-theft information in the stereo systems. It is also possible the harness adapter is not correct. And lastly you may need to start the car while holding the throttle open some, until the ECM relearns the various sensor inputs that disconnecting the battery would have erased.
