Every time I start my car in the morning I press on the clutch and it stays down when I let go and it wont engage into first unless I pump my clutch for a few minutes then I am able to drive. It will happen again later in the day after I let the car sit. Can any1 help me identify the problem so I can get it fixed?
My car is a 94 honda prelude h23a1 motor? 116,000miles

Sounds as though the master or the slave on the clutch has failed. How is the level of clutch fluid doing under the hood? Do you know where to check the level? I would look around the master to see if there is any fluid leaks and if not then follow the clutch line around the back of the engine looking for leaks. This will eventually end at a slave on the tranny housing. Again check for leaks.

Well I checked for the clutch fluid and the level of it is still full. There is a squeak sometimes and I do see leaks around the tranny but I cant pin point where exactly it is coming from?
