IDLING PROBLEMS

I have recently replaced my cluthch to an exedy stage one. Before cluth was replaced had no problems. Now the car is having problems when I rev the car it revs up fine when it falls after about 2000 rpm it falls really fast and the car shuts off. Even when driving and coming to a stop after 2k rpm it falls fast and shuts off. Unless I slowly take it out of gear at 1500 rpm it holds. I have an 8 lb flywheel also. It also kinda pulsates when idling up and down. It never did this till I put this clutch in. What could be the problem? I have tried messing with the idle screw didnt work. THNX

Are you sure you got everything back on after the clutch replacement? Vac lines, etc. Did you do the repairs or did a shop?

Local shop did it, just yesterday I noticed that my belts were real squeaky. I sprayed wd40 on the idler pulley and the noise went away not only that the car wasnt turning off any more untill the noise came back after a lil while of driving. Could this be the problem of my Idling or was it just coincidence?
Thnx

I would take off the belt that the idler pulley is on and see how freely the pulley turns. If it spins freely that is good. If it has play sideways, that is bad. Now if it turns rather hard, that is bad too. Replace it. Yes the motor could have lugged and caused the problem.
