I have a 2004 Honda Element EX with 160,000 miles, and after replacing oxygen sensors, spark plugs, cleaning fuel injectors and checking compression, I still get cylinder 1 misfire codes. I also had the electrical checked out. I'm at a loss and I'm avoiding the dealership since I have no warranty. Have any idea what it could be?

Thanks!

Hello,

Have you check the coil? If not try moving the #1 coil to another cylinder and see what happens. If the cylinder you move the #1 coil to developed the miss replace that coil. this guide can help us fix it

Please run down this guide and report back.

When engine light is on (picture shows yellow motor) the car starts to jerk and cuts off at 67-70 MPH. When easing of the gas pedal the car sounds like when a car is starving for fuel, when gas pedal is pushed down. At about 58-60 MPH. Engine cut in again and as long as the speed is kept around 60 car keeps on running. Sometimes it happens on low speed, but more rarely. When the yellow motor light is off it does not happen on low speed.

Hello, I'm Danny.

Having the check engine light on means you have a fault code stored in your vehicles computer causing this issue. The first thing you need to do is retrieve the fault code or codes that are causing your drivability issue. Here is a tutorial showing how to retrieve codes:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/checking-a-service-engine-soon-or-check-engine-light-on-or-flashing

After you perform this then we ask you to get back to us with the code information and we can then properly diagnose your car. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.

I took it to a shop and they did a leak down test and found #1 cylinder had a leaking intake valve which caused the #2 misfire. Had to pull the heads off cost me $1400.00 just thought you should know.
