1984 Honda CRX wont start

Engine Performance problem
1984 Honda CRX 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual unkown miles

We have been working on this car for a while and can not figure it out. We can get the car to run if you pour fuel down the carb but it will not run on it's own. We have replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel lines, rebuilt the carburator. But we can not get it to pull fuel through the carb.

You sure its a carbuerator or a throttle body injection?

Check the fuel pressure and comeback with the pressure readings this is where we start.

Hi srherman,

Check for any vacumn leakages which would cause low vacumn at carb.

Confirm carb float is adjusted properly and not stuck.

We havn't found any leaks (yet). And the float fills up alright.

Hi srherman,

If the float fills up alright and fuel is not being transferred to the manifold, check for a stuck idle solenoid or lack of power supply to it.
