will low alternator output effect aftermarket MSD ignition system. Sometimes I will go to start the car it will start up and then die out, like as if it stopped getting fuel and then just crank but not firing

Hi jsahota,

low alternator voltage can cause it, but then when battery charge is good, it would take some driving for it to happen.

You problem seems to be fuel related and I would suggest checking the PGM-FI main relay
