2007 Honda Civic 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

need to know what makes noise in any automatic tranny when you your still in drive and shift to park what causes that noise. What components make it do that.

Hi oliva25,

When vehicle is still moving, shifting into park would cause a rachetting noise when the parking pawl tries to lock the gears. This should not be attempted as it can cause damage to the trans.
