2005 Honda Civic WILL NOT START !

DROVE CAR IN MORNING, RAN FINE, WILL NOT START NOW. THOUGHT BATTERY WAS PROBLEM BUT UPON USING JUMPER IN TURNS OVER BUT SEEMS LIKE IT ISN'T FIRING. BATTERY CHECKED OUT FINE. WHEN TURNING IGNITION WITH KEY LIGHTS ON DASH ALL FLICKERING. ENGINE WILL NOT TURN OVER UNLESS IT HAS A BOOST FROM THE JUMPER. HELP!

Battery not providing sufficient current. Check battery voltage and if possible a high rate discharge test.

Bad main earthing cable.

Battery terminals bad connection.

Try using jumper from vehicle battery negative to any part of engine to act as additional earthing to see if it works.
