Hi acadian,

Does it happen when turned to either side or only one side?

It should be a bad/loose connection somewhere or a faulty switch.

Hi acadian,

Does it stop blinking with the bulbs lighting up? Does the hazard lights operate properly?

If the hazards stops too, then the relay is bad.
