1998 Honda Civic exaust

The car emmits white smoke as it starts off in the first gear and after a second or two the it disappears other then that my car losses a lot of power when I shift from third to fourth gear hardly does any thing above 150 kmph any kind of help will be greatly appreciated

Have a cylinder leakdown test performed. This will test your engine, and headgasket.

I gt the test performed it seems to b ok I wanned to ask if the gear can have some thing to do with the loss in power? I mean due to old age of the car wear and tear etc
