I HAVE A 1998 CIVIC LX WHICH NORMALLY RUNS PERFECTLY. OCCASSIONALLY IT CUTS OUT WHILE DRIVING. NO POWER. I HAVE REPLACED THE FUEL FILTER ON THE FIREWALL AND RECENTLY HAD IT COMPLETELY TUNED BUT THE PROBLEM PERSISTS. CAN YOU HELP.

Hi BOBBYRYAN,

When problem occurred, did the dash indicator lights show when the engine cuts OFF?

If no, the ignition switch is faulty.
There was a safety recall on the ignition switch and you can call the nearest dealer for confirmation.

If the dash lights do show and you have difficulty restarting, check the PGM-FI main relay. It can cause intermittent non starting and stalling.
