I need to know how to remove the lock cylinder from the exterior door handle on my Civic. Is a special tool needed?

Hi there,

you will have to remove the inner door trim and unclip the barrel & key actuating rod, (plastic clip on rod at lock end) then the lock assembly will drop out when you slid the locking plate off the back of the lock, I don't have any pics but nearly all locks work this way so I feel that you should not have a problem.
