1996 Honda Civic Engine Stalls Out

I have a 1996 Honda civic and the engine runs fine at idle. But as soon as you give it gas it will die out like it gets chocked out. Running at idle seems to be fine but as soon as you blip the throttle it will die out. Now some times when you ease into the throttle it will rev just fine but then you blip the throttle it will die.

Hi tombug1970,

Your symptom seems like a problem with the Throttle Position Sensor.

If the Check Engine Light is not showing, you need to test the TPS circuit linear voltage reading.
