How do I change a left c v joint

In simple terms. You need to properly and safely raise and support the vehicle. Take off the front tire and remove the center nut on the axle. Take the brake caliper off and wire it up to get it out of the way. Remove the castle nut at the joint below the axle. Using a pry bar seperate the joint you just took the nut off. Swing the wheel assembly out of the way and slide it off the axle. Carefully pry off the cv axle from the tranny and remove. Reverse to install the new one ensuring that the cv is fully engaged in to the tranny.

Good investment is to get a service manual for the vehicle.
